Buithat Muhammad Lawal, a Nigerian woman, who recently revealed she's searching for a second wife for her husband, has opened up about how she believes polygamy "benefits" women.

The biochemist in a Facebook post on Monday, April 14, said having a co-wife can help ease a woman's burden in the kitchen as well as the bedroom.

“Ladies, please hear me out. When your husband takes another wife, it's not just for his benefit — it's also for yours. Bringing another woman into the home can help ease your burden, giving you more time to focus on your own goals and ambitions,” she wrote.

Having a co-wife means you won’t be solely responsible for the household duties — the load gets shared. Fewer days in the kitchen? Yes, please. Chai, wisdom will not finish me!

During those times when you're not feeling up to fulfilling marital responsibilities, your co-wife can step in. If you fall ill or become unavailable, there’s someone else who shares your vision and can support both you and the children.

Now, before you rush to list all the downsides of polygamy, remember: monogamy isn’t perfect either. Aren’t many women constantly fighting off side chicks in monogamous relationships? Some of you haven’t even seen your husbands in a whole week...

It is what it is. Wisdom is profitable to direct. I rest my case.
