The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) has confirmed the arrest of a suspect linked to illegal oil bunkering after intercepting a large vessel transporting unlawfully obtained crude oil.
According to a terse statement on the Corps X handle on Wednesday, April 9, the operation led to the confiscation and destruction of the boat, along with a large pour-put reservoir filled with an unquantifiable volume of stolen crude oil.
The statement reads: "Arrest of one uspect, Confiscation and Destruction of a Large Boat Containing Illegally Acquired Crude Oil and Large Pour-Put Reservoir Filled with Unquantifiable Volume of Stolen Crude Oil."
