Reports indicate that on Thursday, April 3, 2025, an altercation between Ojo and Shakirat escalated, leading to him physically assaulting her.
Kamoru Ojo, a Nigerian man, is currently in police custody for allegedly beating his 27-year-old daughter, Shakirat, to death at their home in the Ojo area of Lagos State.
Reports indicate that on Thursday, April 3, 2025, an altercation between Ojo and Shakirat escalated, leading to him physically assaulting her.
During the beating, Shakirat reportedly lost consciousness and died.
In an attempt to cover up the crime, Ojo allegedly dug a shallow grave within their compound and buried his daughter’s body.
When authorities were unable to determine Shakirat’s whereabouts, a missing person report was filed with the Okokomaiko Division of the Lagos State Police Command.
Homicide and crime scene detectives were dispatched, and they discovered the victim’s remains buried on the property.
CSP Benjamin Hundeyin, the state Police Public Relations Officer, confirmed Ojo’s arrest and stated that the body has been exhumed and taken to a public morgue for an autopsy.
He further stated that the investigation is ongoing.
