A Nigerian woman has shared her thoughts on social media about the "loneliness" that can come with marriage.

In a video posted online, the Nigerian woman who couldn't hold back tears, recounted how her friends deserted her after she got married.

There is this emptiness or will I saw loneliness that comes after getting married. Is it like a syndrome? I feel like there is this feeling you get after wedding because subconsciously, your friends tend to shift from you, your family assumes you now have your home so lets give her space…and now you are into a family that you are trying to get attached to very well.

There is this loneliness that just comes after the whole thing…They just feel like okay now she is married, lets leave her and you will just be there. I feel like it shouldn't be like that because nothing changed…I only just got married..You shouldn't stop calling or texting me''

She opined that even if family members and friends desire to give a newly married woman space, it should be gradual and not a sudden change that she would notice.
