The lawmakers began a debate on the proposed posthumous award and things degenerated so fast into a heated argument between two Senators.
There was tension at the Senate on Wednesday morning, March 26, over a debate on the motion to award a posthumous national honour to the late chairman of the defunct National Electoral Commission (NEC) Humphrey Nwosu.
Recall that last week, INEC chairman, Yakubu Mahmood called for a national honour to be bestowed on Nwosu who conducted the annulled June 12, 1993, presidential election.
Nwosu, born on October 2, 1941, died on October 24, 2024.
