Tems, Britney Spears, Whitney Houston Inspired Me - Tyla

South African singer/songwriter, Tyla has stated that her Nigerian counterpart, Tems is one of her musical influences.

In a recent interview with American outlet Billboard, the ‘Water’ hitmaker shared that Terms’ musical achievements are a huge influence on her.

“Tems is a big one. What she’s been able to do has been very inspiring,” she said.

The Grammy-winner also mentioned Britney Spears, Whitney Houston, and Aaliyah as her other musical influences.

She disclosed that her sophomore album will be released this year and is going to be completely different from her eponymous debut album.
