It was gathered that the armed men fired gunshots to scare his family members and neighbours before abducting the victim from his country home in Tse Aboh, Uchi-Mbakor shortly after he returned from the wake-keep of his late cousin who is to be buried on Thursday.
An Inspector of the Federal Road Safety Corps, FRSC, Nathaniel Kumashe, has been kidnapped by gunmen in Tarka Local Government Area of Benue State.
The incident occurred on Wednesday night, March 19, 2025 at about 10pm.
It was gathered that the armed men fired gunshots to scare his family members and neighbours before abducting the victim from his country home in Tse Aboh, Uchi-Mbakor shortly after he returned from the wake-keep of his late cousin who is to be buried on Thursday.
Youths in the entire community immediately launched a search throughout the night but the gunmen had escaped with the victim.
The command’s spokesperson, Ngozi Ahula, who confirmed the development to journalists on Thursday in Makurdi, stated that the officer currently serves in Wannue, Tarka LGA.
It was further learnt that the victim might have been moved to a kidnappers’ hideout in the neighbouring Guma LGA of the state.
