It was gathered that the punishment was meted out to the boy after he struggled with his Quran recitation.

 

A video showing a boy being tied to a tree over failure to recite Quran properly has gone viral.
 
The shocking video was posted on X and has been condemned by Nigerians.
 
The video showed the boy sitting on the ground, bound to a tree, while being punished.
 
After the video surfaced online, Nigerians slammed the punishment as cruel.
