A Nigerian journalist, Abdullahi Haruna Haruspice, has addressed divorced women trying so hard to make their ex-husbands jealous.
He urged them to let go of the past and rebuild their lives instead of seeking validation from their ex-husbands.
According to him, divorce is not a ''shame sentence'', while stating that they owe no one any validation.
“Nobody struggles hard like a woman who is trying very hard to pepper her ex-husband. In doing this, she goes overboard over tasking herself, mentally draining herself, incurring needless expenses and taking very dangerous risks,” the PR practitioner wrote in a Facebook post on Monday, March 17, 2025.
"Dear sister, it is your marriage that failed, not your life. You owe nobody any validation. Try to relive a new life and discard the one that happened in the past.
"Life is like the onion, it gives us the opportunity to live in layers-that one layer is off, does not mean you are finished. Hell no! You are actually given a new lease to regenerate into something new.
“Divorce is not a shame sentence, it is the room you exit when the heat is much and smokey. Drop the venom, live again - this time in happiness.
"When you are fixated in impressing or oppressing your ex, it shows something - it means you are still in pain with the past. Let it go and fly in liberty. Gaskiyally musing.”
