The chairman of the Commission, Muhuyi Rimingado, made this known on Monday during an interview on Channels Television’s The Morning Brief programme.

The Kano State Public Complaints and Anti-Corruption Commission, PCACC has insisted the chairman of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Abdullahi Ganduje must have his day in court over bribery allegations.

This is as he maintained that Ganduje is still being prosecuted for alleged bribery, misappropriation, and diversion of public funds.

The chairman of the Commission, Muhuyi Rimingado, made this known on Monday during an interview on Channels Television’s The Morning Brief programme. He added that he would not be intimidated into discontinuing the case against the former Kano State governor.

When asked whether the prosecution of the ex-governor would continue despite his recent arrest, Rimingado stated that the commission would prosecute Ganduje in person.

Meanwhile, a Kano State High Court has adjourned the hearing of preliminary objections in Ganduje’s case to February 13, 2025.

The case, instituted by the Kano State Government, involves an eight-count charge of bribery, misappropriation, and diversion of public funds allegedly amounting to billions of naira. Alongside Ganduje, the defendants include his wife, Hafsat Umar, and others―Abubakar Bawuro, Umar Abdullahi Umar, Jibrilla Muhammad, Lamash Properties Limited, Safari Textiles Limited, and Lasage General Enterprises Limited.

Recall that President Bola Tinubu last week appointed Ganduje as the board chairman of the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria, FAAN.
