Jigawa Declares Free Education For Female Indigenes Up to PhD Level

Jigawa State Commissioner for Higher Education, Prof Isa Chamo, hailed the programme as a milestone in advancing gender equality.

 
The Jigawa State Government has granted free education to all female indigenes in state-owned institutions.
 
The government said the free education will cover all levels from primary school to PhD.
 
Governor Umar Namadi spearheaded the initiative, which aims to empower women through education and ensure financial barriers no longer hinder their academic aspirations.
