The victim's mother, Aderonke Adebanjo, had visited the police on January 15, to report her husband for his alleged dastardly act.
A man identified as Idowu Adebanjo, has been arrested by the police in Ogun state.
The man was arrested for allegedly d#filing his four-year-old daughter in the Okunsanya Ijebu Igbo area of the state.
The victim's mother, Aderonke Adebanjo, had visited the police on January 15, to report her husband for his alleged dastardly act.
The police acted on the report and arrested the suspect.
Confirming the arrest to newsmen, the command's spokesperson CSP Omolola Odutola, said the victim had been taken to the General Hospital in Ijebu Igbo for a medical examination.
She added that the case will be forwarded to the SCID for further action after preliminary investigations have been concluded.
