Ewa d!ed on Wednesday evening, January 8, at the Arubah Specialist Hospital in Calabar.

 
Robert Ewa, the Cross River State Commissioner for Tourism, Arts, and Culture has passed away.
 
He died on Wednesday evening, January 8 according to a report by Channels TV.
 
Ewa died at the Arubah Specialist Hospital in Calabar, the state capital shortly after attending the state executive council meeting.
 
“As at the time of filing this report, members of the Cross River State Executive Council and other aides of Governor Bassey Otu are gathered at the facility to mourn with the deceased family. He was present at the state’s executive council meeting earlier on Wednesday which was presided by Governor Otu.

Ewa served as Secretary and later, Chairman of the Boki Local Government Council. He also served as Special Adviser Community Relations and Secretary of the Anti-Deforestation Task Force,” the report read.
 
As of the time this report was filed, the state government had yet to issue a statement on the commissioner’s death.
