Operatives of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Police Command have recovered an abandoned Toyota Prado Land Cruiser SUV in Abuja.
The Police Public Relations Officer, PPRO, of the command, SP Josephine Adeh, said in a statement on Friday that the vehicle was recovered on December 31, 2024, during a routine patrol.
She noted that operatives discovered the abandoned Toyota Prado Land Cruiser Jeep along David Ejoor Street, opposite Adisa Estate, Apo-Gudu.
The PPRO stated that upon inspection, it was discovered that the vehicle had no registration number.
She further noted that a silver-colored eagle insignia, some video/audio cables, and a car stereo remote were recovered from the vehicle after a search was conducted.
“Further investigations revealed that the sticker showing the engine and chassis numbers near the driver’s door had been removed, and the windscreen appeared to have been recently replaced.
“The vehicle has since been towed to the FCT Police Command Headquarters in Garki II,” SP Josephine said.
The statement called on members of the public who may have cases of missing vehicles matching the description of the recovered Toyota Prado Jeep to “visit the FCT Command for verification and possible recovery.”
