He has been banned from driving for nine months in the UK.
The singer was banned by the Wimbledon Magistrates’ Court on Thursday after an off-duty police officer caught him in London using a mobile phone behind the wheel of his Rolls-Royce vehicle.
The District judge, Andrew Sweet handed him the ban after he pleaded guilty, via a letter, to driving while using the device in west Kensington on March 7 2024.
Sweet noted that Stormzy’s driving record was “not good” and criticised his “dangerous and irresponsible” actions.
The judge fined him £2,010 ($2,498) after an additional six points were added to his licence.
Prior to Thursday’s hearing, Stormzy had 6 points on his licence for a previous speeding offence.
Recall that drivers can be disqualified in the UK if they build up 12 or more penalty points within a period of 3 years.
