Property Worth Millions Destroyed As Fire Guts FIIRO Office In Lagos

The fire reportedly broke out around midnight on Christmas Day, and as of 4 a.m. on Boxing Day, rescue operations were still ongoing.

There was a fire outbreak at the Federal Institute of Industrial Research (FIIRO) office in Oshodi, Lagos state, near Cappa Bus Stop.

Men of the Lagos State Fire and Rescue Service and the Lagos State Emergency Management Authority (LASEMA) are battling to contain the blaze and prevent the flames from spreading to adjoining offices and buildings.

According to Vanguard, no casualties have been reported, but the fire has destroyed property worth millions of naira.

At the time of filing this report, the cause of the fire remains unknown.
