I Learned Yoruba For Movie Role In Seven Doors – Chioma Chukwuka

The actress disclosed that she learned Yoruba specifically for her role in Seven Doors.

 
Nollywood actress Chioma Chukwuka-Akpotha has opened up that she had to learn Yoruba in order to play her role in recently released Netflix series, Seven Doors.
 
She played the role of an Igbo queen married to a Yoruba king (played by Femi Adebayo) in the movie.
 
The actress noted that the role required her to speak fluent Yoruba.
 
Appearing in a TVC interview alongside her co-star, Femi Adebayo, the actress disclosed that she learned Yoruba specifically for her role in the series.
 
She said, “I had to learn Yoruba for my role in Seven Doors. The Yoruba in the movie was not the regular one spoken in Lagos State, so I had to be very particular about the tone.”
