Tinubu Appoints Eight New Permanent Secretaries

The President urged the new permanent secretaries to demonstrate greater commitment, diligence and innovation in serving the nation.

 
President Bola Tinubu has made new appointments.
 
Tinubu has now appointed eight permanent secretaries to fill existing vacancies within the Federal Civil Service across various states and geopolitical zones.
 
The announcement was made public on Monday.
 
Tinubu said the appointments aim to address administrative gaps in specific states and zones, ensuring equitable distribution of leadership roles within the civil service.

“The Office of the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation recommended that the new permanent secretaries be appointed after diligent selection,” Tinubu’s Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, revealed in a statement Monday evening.
 
The statement is titled ‘President Tinubu appoints eight new Permanent Secretaries.’
 
They are as follows:
 
1.⁠ ⁠Onwusoro Ihemelandu (Abia State)
 
2.⁠ ⁠Ndiomu Philip (Bayelsa State)
 
3.⁠ ⁠Anuma Nlia (Ebonyi State)
 
4.⁠ ⁠Ogbodo Nnam (Enugu State)
 
5.⁠ ⁠Kalba Usman (Gombe State)
 
6.⁠ ⁠Usman Aminu (Kebbi State)
 
7.⁠ ⁠Oyekunle Nwakuso (Rivers State)
 
8.⁠ ⁠Nadungu Gagare (Kaduna State)
 
Onanuga said it was the second set of eight permanent secretaries appointed by the president, following those appointed last June from Akwa Ibom, Anambra, Bauchi, Jigawa, Ondo, Zamfara, South East and South-South.
 
The President urged the new permanent secretaries to demonstrate greater commitment, diligence and innovation in serving the nation.
