This achievement surpasses the record set by Akindele’s previous film, “A Tribe Called Judah,” which held the top spot in 2023.

“A Tribe Called Judah” had grossed over N1 billion at the Nigerian box office last year.

The Nigerian Box Office took to X to announce the record-breaking achievement, stating, “Everybody Loves Jenifa’ shattered box office records yesterday.
