Funke condemned the act of recording videos at cinemas, labelling it as piracy and imploring people to stop as it is detrimental to the industry.
Nollywood actress and filmmaker Funke Akindele has sent a message to movie pirates.
She warned them to stay away from her movies.
The actress who is set to release her new movie Everybody Loves Jenifa in cinemas on December 13th, took to social media to urge Nigerians to take a stand against piracy.
“SAY NO TO PIRACY!!! Recording short videos at the cinemas is piracy!!! Please stop it!!! Piracy is killing us!! I worked so hard on this project. Please, I’m pleading, do not be caught promoting piracy!!!” she wrote.
