Nigerian lawyer and entertainment consultant, Ayo Shonaiya, said that Deji Adeyanju is confusing being a lawyer with being an activist.
He stated this while reacting to Adeyanju's claim that Burna Boy effected the re-arrest of his client, Speed Darlington and is using the police to harass him.
According to Shonaiya, Burna Boy taking action against Speed Darlington for defamation is not oppression or harassment.
He said that as far as Speed Darlington continues attacking Burna Boy on social media, especially while out on bail, he is bound to get re-arrested.
Reacting to Deji's tweet, Shonaiya wrote;
‘’I believe Deji Adeyanju is confusing being a Lawyer with being an Activist. A Plaintiff taking legal action against someone who’s defaming him is NOT oppression or harassment.
If your Client keeps doing the same thing he was arrested for in the first place, especially while out on Bail, he will get rearrested. Simple.
His Clients don’t know the difference between defamatory statements and freedom of speech, and it’s looking like he also doesn’t''
