Davido Fires Back At TVC And Other Nigerians Riled Up Over His Recent Interview Where He Stated That Nigeria’s Economy Is In Shambles

Taking to his X handle to taunt his critics, Davido said that people are mad at him because he is the real ambassador who showcases the country in a good light.


Nigerian singer, Davido has responded to the backlash he has been receiving over a recent interview he granted.

In the interview with a U.S. radio station, he asked Africans in the diaspora not to come back to Africa as things are not ‘’good back home.”

Davido pointed out that the Nigerian economy is in shambles.

''Leave America and go where? Go back where? It's not cool back home. My country now, the economy is in shambles. ’The exchange rate is messed up. A lot of stuff not going well. The economy is not just good anymore. The pil prices are too high. Imagine a country that produces oil. We produce the oil and we paying more money for oil than a country that imports the oil'' he said during the interview.

After the interview was aired, many Nigerians reacted to it, stating that he was not painting a good image of the nation.

He received several backlash as they felt he ‘’de-marketed'' Nigerians.

Taking to his X handle to taunt his critics, Davido said that people are mad at him because he is the real ambassador who showcases the country in a good light.

He also slammed TVC station, while hailing his accent in the interview.
