Veteran Nollywood actor Kanayo O. Kanayo has jokinlgy sent a warning to junior colleague, Toyin Abraham.
He threatened to make her disappear during his acceptance speech at the 2024 Best of Nollywood Awards.
The ceremony, held at Sugar Factory Film Studios in Ilorin, Kwara State, saw the actor honoured with a Lifetime Achievement Award presented by the Governor of Kwara State, Alhaji AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq.
In his speech, Kanayo thanked the governor and event organizers for the recognition, dedicating the award to his colleagues battling drug-related health issues.
However, his light-hearted remark to Toyin Abraham drew significant attention:
“Toyin Abraham, this is just some minute to 12; if you talk to me at 1 am, I’ll take you to the coven, and you will disappear.”
Recall that the actor is popular for his roles in films involving occultic themes and in skits have been seen making people disappeart.
Sharing a video of the event on Instagram, Kanayo captioned it:
“Happening NOW in Ilorin, Kwara State, I was conferred with a Special Recognition Award (Lifetime Achievement Award) at the BEST OF NOLLYWOOD AWARDS 2024, for my contributions to the growth of the Entertainment industry in Africa, presented by His Excellency, Alhaji AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, Executive Governor, Kwara State.”
