Gunmen Abduct Former Zaria Council Chairman’s Children While Returning From Islamic School In Kaduna

The abductors reportedly kidnapped the children while on their way back from Islamiyya around 5pm on Wednesday at Kwarbai in Zaria town.

Gunmen have kidnapped two children of Alhaji Aliyu Idris Ibrahim, a prominent All Progressives Congress (APC) chieftain in Kaduna State.

Ibrahim is the immediate past chairman of Zaria Local Government.

The abductors reportedly kidnapped the children while on their way back from Islamiyya around 5pm on Wednesday at Kwarbai in Zaria town.

The whereabouts of the abductees have been unknown since the incident occurred.

Tahir Abubakar M, a family friend of the APC chieftain also confirmed the incident in tweet on X.

He posted, “Inalillahi wainailaihim rajiun. Yesterday, after I dropped off their uncle, he called me to say that they had been kidnapped on their way back from Islamiyya.

“These children are the kids of the immediate past chairman of Zaria local government.”

Efforts made by SaharaReporters to reach ASP Mansir Hassan, police spokesperson in Kaduna, were unsuccessful as he did not answer or return calls to his mobile line.
