A Nigerian woman, Maryann Obiageli Duruibe, has given her opinion on marriage and submission.

She stated that submission in marriage is not respect but slavery.

In a Facebook post, she opined that submission means putting your life in the control of another person.

“Submission, is not compromise. Submission, is not respect. Submission, is slavery! Putting the control of your life to another person,”
