Suspected Terrorists Kidnap Two Men In Sokoto

Two men, Mallam Abubakar Umar Yabo and Malam Abba Muhammad have been abducted by suspected terrorists in Yabo town, the headquarters of Yabo Local Government Area of Sokoto State.

The spokesman of the State Police Command, ASP Ahmad Rufai, confirmed the attack to the Punch on Thursday, November 14, 2024.

He said the victims were abducted in their separate homes by the assailants.

“The bandits attempted to attack another resident when the owner of the house alerted the police whose intervention disrupted the initial plan of the kidnappers,” the PPRO stated.

“The two abducted persons left their homes open and the bandits after an exchange of fire with the police abducted the victims in their homes.”
