The travellers were reportedly going from Sokoto to Lagos but could not afford to pay transport fare for a seat in a car.

A photo of some travellers tied together with luggage in the trunk of a car due to the hike in transportation has surfaced.

The travellers were reportedly going from Sokoto to Lagos but could not afford to pay for a seat in a car.

Consequently, they chose to travel in the uncomfortable position in the boot of a car for the hours-long journey.

Another traveller also shared photos of Nigerians in Niger state travelling at the back of a truck laden with goods.
