Miss South Africa, Mia le Roux Pulls Out From Miss Universe Competition

Recall that the finale of the global contest will take place on Saturday, 16 November, in Mexico.

 
Mia le Roux, Miss South Africa 2024 winner has withdrawn from the ongoing Miss Universe competition.
 
Her withdrawal announcement was made in a statement issued on Friday morning.
 
She cited health reasons for pulling out of the competition.
 
 
Recall that the finale of the global contest will take place on Saturday, 16 November, in Mexico.
 
“I am profoundly thankful for the unwavering support from SA during my time at Miss Universe. Making this decision has been incredibly challenging, knowing the dreams and hopes that have been placed on me.

“However, I’m deeply grateful to have the opportunity to focus on my health and recovery so I may continue to serve my country with full strength.”
 
Le Roux, who made history as the first deaf contestant, was among the 120 beauty queens vying for the Miss Universe crown.
