Former federal lawmaker Senator Shehu Sani has mourned the death of Chief of Army Staff, Lt. General Taoreed Abiodun Lagbaja.
This comes after President Tinubu on Wednesday morning confirmed the death of the army chief, who has been away for a while due to an undisclosed ailment.
Reacting, Shehu Sani in a post on X, recalled how Lagbaja led the military at the peak of the nation’s security challenges.
He wrote, “General Lagbaja died in active service. His leadership and service to his country are well appreciated.
“He led the military at the peak of the nation’s security challenges and exited with verifiable accomplishments.
“Every soul shall experience death on the time appointed by our creator. May his soul rest in peace.”
