Betty Irabor
Founder of Genevieve Magazine and columnist, Betty Irabor, has taken to Instagram to share her experience at the NHN Pink October afternoon tea party which took place in Doha, Qatar.
From the women's impeccable fashion choices to May Yul Edochie moving everyone to tears with her speech, the event was the topic of discussion on social media while it lasted.
Betty Irabor, who was the keynote speaker at the women's event organised by NHN Couture, spoke about the extent of pain many carry.
Ms. Irabor said that during the event, tagged From Pain to Purpose, one of the attendees "shared her story of grief" and "there were no dry eyes in the room".
The Genevieve Magazine publisher then spoke about healing from pain.
She said pain can birth purpose but only if the person suffering pain does not mount an altar of remembrance to it.
"No one heals when consumed by hate, anger, rage, revenge and victim mentality," Betty Irabor wrote.
"These high impact women leaders understood this principle & embraced the healing processes," she added. "They shed the dead weight & decided to travel light. They trusted God to restore! They got up and turned that pain to purpose and profit."
She further spoke about how people can help one another while dealing with pain.
