Fubara and his predecessor, Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, Nyesom Wike have been fighting over the control of the state.

Governor Sim Fubara of Rivers State has cried out that he met a dead system upon assumption of office.

Recall that he took over from Nyesom Wike, the current Minister of the FCT.

Fubara spoke on Sunday at the 18th anniversary celebration of Omega Power Ministries, OPM, and Chibuzor Chinyere’s 51st birthday.

He also urged people of the state to pray for him to have power to defend humanity in the state.

According to Fubara: “Those of us outside understand your contribution to humanity, how many of our schools are still functioning to provide that level of training, it’s no longer there.

“We met a dead system which we are trying to revive, but you are doing it as a private person, so why won’t God bless you?

“I want more power for the progress of Rivers State, more power for the defence of humanity in Rivers State.

“What you owe us is just one thing, to continue to pray for us not to lose focus because we know the devil is always at work to always derail people in governance, continue to pray for us.

“With your prayers, the purpose of governance will be achieved in Rivers State.”

Fubara and his predecessor, Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, Nyesom Wike have been fighting over the control of the state.
