Two brothers have been arrested for allegedly murdering their neighbor in the Kashin Dila Fulani village of Malam-Madori, Jigawa State, following accusations of witchcraft.

The Jigawa State Police Command spokesperson, DSP Lawan Shiisu Adam, confirmed the incident, stating that the attack was motivated by superstition.
The assault took place on October 16, 2024, around 1:30 a.m. after the brothers accused Yusai of practicing witchcraft. Police officers, responding to a distress call, rushed the victim to Hadejia General Hospital, where she was pronounced dead.
Upon investigation, the suspects confessed to the crime and have been transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID) in Dutse for further processing.
