Goodluck Jonathan In Botswana As African Union Observers Monitor Elections (Photos)

The former president took to the X platform to share photos in Gaborone, Botswana’s capital.

Members of the African Union Election Observation Mission on Wednesday, October 30, visited polling stations across Gaborone, Botswana’s capital, to observe the Botswana Elections.

This was made known in a statement shared by former Nigerian president and  leader of the AUEOM, Goodluck Jonathan, on the X platform.

He wrote, “Out early on Election Day in Botswana, we, as members of the African Union Election Observation Mission (AUEOM) visited some polling stations in Gaborone, the nation’s capital city.

“The October 30, 2024 general elections is the 13th since Botswana became independent in 1965.

“We wish Botswana a successful outing as they seek to further consolidate the nation’s vibrant democracy.”
