Labourer Electrocuted Inside Ogun Private University

Koja lost his life on Wednesday, October 16, following a wrongful wire connection that led to his electrocution.

A labourer, Monday Koja, has been reported dead after he was electrocuted while working on the premises of a private university located in the Ajebo area of Ogun State.

Koja lost his life on Wednesday, October 16, following a wrongful wire connection that led to his electrocution.

Koja, a native of Benue State, while working with some bricklayers on the premises of Macpherson University in Seriki Sotayo, Ogun State, attempted to connect electricity for the workers when he accidentally connected the positive and negative wires. This led to his death.

The victim, who was not an electrician, was said to have been taken to the university’s hospital where he was confirmed dead.

Police officers visited the site of the incident and reported that there was no suspicion of foul play.

The body of the deceased was deposited at the Ipara morgue and further investigation has commenced into the matter.
