Super Eagles striker, Victor Boniface has again lamented over the situation of Nigeria's super eagles in Libya.

Boniface had on Monday cried out following the treatment he and his teammates received on arrival at the Al Abaq Airport in Libya.

The Super Eagles are scheduled to play Libya on Tuesday night, following their 1-0 victory in the first leg on Friday in the Africa Cup of Nations, AFCON, qualifiers.

Austin Eguavoen’s side was stranded at the airport for over 13 hours after landing in Libya.

Libyan authorities had diverted the chartered ValueJet aircraft carrying the three-time African champions to a small airport away from Benghazi just as the pilot was completing his approach to the Benghazi Airport on Sunday night.

The Libyan Football Federation failed to send any reception team or even vehicles to take the delegation members from the airport to their hotel, which is said to be two hours away in Benghazi.

In his latest tweet on X, Boniface said the development is getting scary, adding that he and his teammates want to return to Nigeria.

“This is getting scary now. You guys can have the point. We just want to return to our country,” Boniface tweeted.
