A former governor of Ekiti State, Ayodele Fayose has reacted to the crisis rocking the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
He referred to it as an exciting drama, stating that he can't wait to see how it ends.
Nigerians woke up to the news of the creation of two factions within the party’s leadership.
A faction of the PDP loyal to the acting National Chairman, Umar Damagum, had in a statement on Friday morning announced the suspension of its National Publicity Secretary, Debo Ologunagba, and National Legal Adviser, Kamaldeen Ajibade (SAN).
The PDP National Director of Publicity, Chinwe Nnorom, made this known in a statement issued in the early hours of Friday.
Nnorom explained that the party has established a committee, led by Deputy National Chairman (South) Taofeek Arapaja, to investigate the concerns raised against the officers in accordance with the party’s Constitution.
But in a swift reaction, the faction led by Ajibade suspended Damagum, and National Secretary, Samuel Anyanwu, over allegations of disloyalty to the party.
Ologunagba issued a statement on Friday declaring that both Damagum and Anyanwu would also be suspended from their positions.
