Three suspects have been remanded by the Kano magistrates' court sitting at Gayadi Gyadi in Kumbotso LGA over their alleged involvement in the abduction of a 4-year-old boy.

The accused Hizbullah Salisu, Aliyu Abubakar and Hassan Aliyu, allegedly kidnapped Muhammad Nasir, and demanded a ransom of N10m but were later paid N300,000 after negotiation.

Salisu, who is a cousin to the victim, masterminded the abduction.

They were, however, tracked and arrested by the police in the state on September 7, 2024.

The accused were charged with conspiracy, criminal offence and kidnapping.

They pleaded not guilty and Magistrate Rakiya Lami Sani ordered their remand in a correctional centre until October 30 for re-arraignment.
