Bandits Release Kaduna Village Head After 140 Days In Captivity

Recall that bandits k!lled some residents including eight vigilante members and abducted the village heads of Kakangi and Kisaya months ago.

Bandits have released the village head of Kakangi in the Birnin Gwari Local Government Area of Kaduna State after 140 days in captivity.

A member of the community confirmed his release on Thursday, September 19, 2024.

Recall that bandits k!lled some residents including eight vigilante members and abducted the village heads of Kakangi and Kisaya months ago.

A community leader, Mohammed Amin, said the vigilantes were ambushed and attacked by the terrorists while they were trailing the kidnapped victims who were abducted on their way to a burial between Kakangi and Sabon Layi.

He also disclosed that the vigilantes equally killed some of the terrorists, while the fleeing terrorists succeeded in taking the two traditional rulers away.
