The former governor of Lagos State, Fashola has been mocked about trying to attract public sympathy with his claim that his children are feeling the heat of the power outage currently faced in Nigeria.

The honourable Minister of Power, Works and Housing, Babatunde Raji Fashola has come under fire over his claims on Channels TV's Sunrise Morning programme that the current power outage in Nigeria has taken a negative toll on the health of his children who are suffering from heat rash due to the present hot weather.

Nigerians on social media have rejected his claims aimed at public sympathy in disbelief due to the knowledge of the fact that top government officials in Nigeria have generators or powerplants in their homes with an unrestricted access to fuel to power it.

This negates his claims of heat rashes which have been defined as a mere 'political talk' that smells of deceit. Eagle-eyed social media users have dug out pictures of his lawyer son assumed to be one of those suffering from 'heat rash'.

The young man named Demola Fashola, who was called to bar last year, December 15 in Abuja could be seen basking in utmost comfort outside the country with a beautiful lady rumoured to be his lover.

There is no evidence of heat rash on the part of the young Fashola's body. Nigerians have continued to endure an epileptic power supply with the megawatts of electricity reaching a record low of ZERO since the emergence of the former governor of Lagos as the Minister of Power.
