Nigerian activist, Aisha Yesufu has taken a swipe at the Department of State Services, DSS over the arrest of a former presidential candidate and fellow activist, Omoyele Sowore.
TORI reported earlier that Sowore, one of the organizers of the EndBadGovernance protests, was picked up by operatives of the secret police in Lagos on Sunday.
He was arrested upon his return to Nigeria from the United States, however, he confirmed his release in a post on X.
Reacting to the arrest, Aisha in a post on her official X handle, said the secret police are shameless and unintelligent.
Aisha stated that the DSS fell for the bait by arresting the Sahara Reporters publisher.
She wrote, “DSS/SSS is not only shameless but unintelligent. They fell for the bait! Kai!
“No wonder terrorists are using them to chew gum”.
