Adamawa Govt Donates ₦50 Million To Maiduguri Flood Victims

Gov Ahmadu Finitri of Adamawa State has donated ₦50 million and six speedboats to the Borno State Government.

Fintiri’s donation was aimed at assisting those affected by the recent flooding in the region.

In a statement released by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Humwashi Wonosikou, it was noted that during his visit to Maiduguri, Governor Fintiri presented this donation to Governor Babagana Zulum and called for additional support for the impacted communities.

He expressed his sorrow over the loss of lives and property, urging the federal government to take prompt action to remedy the situation.

Additionally, Governor Fintiri, along with his Borno State counterpart, Governor Babagana Zulum, and Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos State, undertook a boat ride to evaluate the circumstances and extend their sympathies to the displaced individuals in the area.

Accompanying Governor Fintiri was Secretary to the State Government Awwal Tukur, members of the State Executive Council, and other associates.

The flooding in Maiduguri was attributed to a malfunctioning spillway from the Alau Dam.
