According to a statement released by the Command's Public Relations Officer, ASP Musa Mohammed, the suspect, from Ogbolomabiri in Nembe Local Government Area, was apprehended in Yenagoa on September 3, 2024.
A 24-year-old man, Godgift Bai, has been arrested by the Bayelsa State Police Command, in connection with a n*de video of a young girl that has been circulating online.
According to a statement released by the Command's Public Relations Officer, ASP Musa Mohammed, the suspect, from Ogbolomabiri in Nembe Local Government Area, was apprehended in Yenagoa on September 3, 2024.
Mohammed said the arrest follows a thorough investigation by the Cyber Crime Unit, acting on the directive of the Commissioner of Police, CP. Alonyenu Francis Idu.
The police spokesperson reiterated the command's commitment to curbing cyberstalking and exploitation of individuals, especially vulnerable ones, and urged the public to refrain from online exploitation.
He said the suspect will be charged to court accordingly.
