Daily Post reports that he died on Sunday morning in Kano State.

Secretary of the Palace, Alhaji Usman Sule Magayakin Ningi, in a statement issued shortly after his demise, announced that the funeral prayer will be held at 4:00 pm at the Emir’s palace in Ningi.
