The appointments were contained in two separate statements signed by the Edo State Head of Service, Anthony Okungbowa.
The Edo State Governor, Godwin Obaseki has made a new appointment.
He approved the appointment of members of the Edo State Civil Service Commission with Lalla Aluyi as Chairman.
The governor also approved the appointment of two new Permanent Secretaries in the Edo State Public Service.
The appointments were contained in two separate statements signed by the Edo State Head of Service, Anthony Okungbowa.
On the Civil Service Commission, Okungbowa said: “It is hereby announced for the information of the general public that, His Excellency, the Governor of Edo State, Mr. Godwin Nogheghase Obaseki has, in line with his powers under the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, 1999, as amended and all other powers enabling him in that behalf, approved the appointment of the following persons as Members of the Edo State Civil Service Commission:
“Lalla Aluyi, as Chairman; Ehi Obaseki, member; Gilbert Adegboyega, member; Julie Olatunji, member and Margaret Ohiowele, member.”
He noted that the appointments are subject to the confirmation of the Edo State House of Assembly.
On the appointment of the Permanent Secretaries, Okungbowa said: “It is hereby announced for the information of the general public that in furtherance of the transformation of the civil/public service of Edo State undertaken by this Administration, His Excellency, the Governor of Edo State, Mr. Godwin Obaseki Nogheghase Obaseki, has approved the appointment of the following Officers as Permanent Secretaries in the Edo State Public Service:
“They are Queeneth Orobedo and Ojo Akin-Longe.
“The date of the swearing-in ceremony of the new Permanent Secretaries will be announced later.”
