Two young ladies have been confirmed dead while two others sustained varying injuries in a fatal accident in Calabar, the capital of Cross River State.

According to the CrossRiverWatch, two of the victims identified as Wofai and Bella died on the spot.
Out of the four who were onboard the white coloured GLK 350-4Matic Benz; the two ladies were affiliated with the Cross River State College of Health Technology Calabar, while the two young men are yet to be identified.
The victims were said to be on their way back from a friend’s birthday party held on Sunday night, August 18.
The cause of the accident is not ascertained at the time of filing this report.
Video footage from the scene shows the victims looking helpless and in a pool of blood, while the vehicle was badly damaged.
