His warning comes amid a contractual dispute between Nigeria and a Chinese company, Zhongshan Fucheng Industrial Investment Co. Limited.

Former federal lawmaker, Sen Shehu Sani, has urged state governors to be mindful when signing contracts with foreign companies.
Sani cautioned them to be careful when signing contracts with foreign firms to avoid the confiscation of Nigerians owned jets and assets.
Posting on X, the former lawmaker wrote: “All the State Governors signing contracts with foreign firms should be careful so that they will not start seizing the diaspora properties after they confiscate all our remaining planes.”
His warning comes amid a contractual dispute between Nigeria and a Chinese company, Zhongshan Fucheng Industrial Investment Co. Limited.
Fucheng was recently granted an order to seize a Dassault Falcon 7X, an Airbus A330-243 and a Boeing 737-7N6/BBJ belonging to the Government of Nigeria.
This followed the revocation of the company’s export processing zone management contract by the Ogun State Government in 2016.
Aggrieved by the action of the Ogun State Government, the company had sought the intervention of the French court in his contractual dispute.
In its ruling, the court ordered the seizure of the three jets belonging to the Nigerian Government.
But reports claimed that one if the jets was released for President Bola Tinubu’s use.
