Fire Guts Abuja Popular Market As Traders Lament Late Arrival Of Firefighters (Photos)

The fire, which started at about 11 pm on Friday, burnt over 40 shops, leaving traders counting their losses.

 

A section of Kaura Modern Market, situated opposite Prince and Princess Estate in Abuja, the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), was engulfed by fire on Friday night.

The fire, which started at about 11 pm on Friday, burnt over 40 shops, leaving traders counting their losses.

The immediate cause of the fire could not be ascertained as at time of this report. 

Some of the traders lamented the late arrival of the FCT fire fighters which led to the spread of the fire to other shops.

Traders were seen lamenting at the scene of the fire incident as they wade through the debris left behind by the inferno.
