A tragic accident that occurred along the Ojoo-Iwo Road near the Agbowo/Ajao area of Ibadan, Oyo State capital on Tuesday reportedly claimed the lives of at least 25 persons.
According to Oyo Affairs on Tuesday, a trailer carrying roofing sheets collided with an 18-seater Hummer bus, a Micra taxi, and a Honda CR-V car, resulting in the loss of lives.
Some passengers have been rescued and rushed to the hospital for medical attention.
As of the time of filing the report, traffic congestion persisted along the Ojoo-Iwo Road.
Federal Road Safety Corps officials and others were seen trying to ease the logjam.
