Popular Nigerian singer, Spyro has spoken up on his childhood experience as the son of a pastor.

In a recent interview on the Just Chude podcast, he shared both the challenges and benefits of his strict religious upbringing.

Spryro described his childhood as difficult, with mandatory church attendance and Bible study sessions, which sometimes felt forced.

He recalled morning devotions being held at inconvenient times, leading to feelings of resentment towards God.

However, upon entering university, Spryro saw it as an opportunity for freedom and escape from his daily routine.

Despite this, he acknowledged the positive impact of his upbringing, crediting his parents’ teachings and fear of God for shaping his values and behavior.

Spryro emphasized that the fear of God has remained in him, influencing his decisions and actions even in his adult life.

He attributes his choices, such as not smoking or drinking, to this fear of God, which he believes has been beneficial to him.
