A former Minister of Aviation, Femi Fani-Kayode, has warned Nigerian youths to shun the planned protest against hunger in the nation.
He stated that anyone that joins the protest would be resisted and they would lose far more than they bargained for.
Recall some aggrieved Nigerians scheduled a nationwide protest slated for August 1-10 over the current economic situation in the country.
In a post via X on Tuesday, Fani-Kayode said intending protesters should take lessons from what is happening in Sudan and appreciate the torment that reckless actions and defective reasoning may result in.
According to the All Progressives Congress (APC) chieftain, indulging in violence and seeking to effect a regime change through rebellion, revolution, and force of arms will be resisted.
He wrote, “To those that are planning to create havoc in our nation with their nationwide protest from August 1st I say the following: take note of what is happening in Sudan and appreciate the torment that reckless actions and defective reasoning may result in.
“If you indulge in violence and seek to effect regime change by rebellion, revolution and the force of arms you will wake up a sleeping sword, you will be effectively resisted, you may lose far more than you bargained for and you may not have a country left. My advice to you is as follows: seek peace and if you must protest do so peacefully and with caution.”
